For the 2004 year, St.George Bank recognised ORIX as its ‘Supplier of the Year’. Australia’s fifth largest bank, St.George, is well known for its close relationship with customers and its commitment to service. St.George expects similar high service standards from its suppliers as it strives to continually differentiate itself from other financial institutions in terms of delivering outstanding customer service.
To recognise and reward exceptional service from its supplier base, St.George introduced its Group Procurement Supplier of the Year Award in 2003. In 2004, ORIX was recognised as St.George’s foremost supplier for management of their job facility vehicles, winning in the prestigious Tier One category.
Joanne Bailey, Group Procurement Manager at St.George said: “ORIX is a well-deserving recipient of the ‘Supplier of the Year Award’. Thanks to the dedication of the ORIX team, we’ve achieved outstanding results in delivering better service to our employees who can then better service their clients. We look forward to continuing to improve and develop our relationships with our top suppliers.”
The awards are judged on suppliers achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and value-adds. KPIs are split into three categories: operational, account management, and financial.
As part of its fleet management services to St.George, ORIX achieved an average 98.1 per cent score for their 2004 KPIs and an overall score of 386.7 out of 400. Since commencing its relationship with St.George in 2000, ORIX helped St.George implement a number of initiatives, saving significant resources. ORIX’s close working relationship with St.George’s Human Resources and Finance areas and its flexible fee structure also pushed it ahead of the competition.
“This is a great commendation for the St.George team at ORIX,” said John Sweeney, Managing Director, ORIX Australia. “I would like to personally thank the team, including Michael Thomas, Glenn Davidson, and Donna Williamson for an outstanding achievement.” |
